How is the WI set up on a local and national level?
Each individual WI is usually part of a local group, plus the County Federation, and of course, part of the National Women's Institute.

Within the Nottinghamshire Federation there are sub groups, made up of several neighbouring WIs . Bestwood Village is now happy to be part of the Beauvale Group.

The Nottinghamshire FederationThe Bestwood Village WI and all the Plains Group are members of the Nottingham Federation of Women's Institutes who's headquarters are at Trent Bridge House (aka County House) in Newark. Our oldest WIs are Southwell and East Bridgford, which were formed in 1917 and are still thriving.

The WI Nationally
The National WI web site has a search facility to find your local group, you'll find there are lots of groups closer than you think! As part of the Women's Institute, you also get to enjoy the courses at Denman College, and enjoy the online forum My WI. Be part of something bigger!
