28/4/2016 0 Comments Happy Birthday your Majesty! Our April meeting "Red, White & Blue" was all about celebrating the Queen's 90th Birthday in very British style, with specially made 'royal' cakes in the shape of crowns and classic Victoria sponge, washed down with lots of tea (and wine!) and some games and giggles. Who doesn't love a bunting filled party? More photos in the gallery. In other news, our entries for the Notts Fed craft show were very well received, rumour being we were a couple of tiny points away for 3rd in the cakes!! So close! We have copies of the lovely comments if anyone would like their ego boosting. Also in discussion was the fundraising Spring Fayre on 22 May, for which we're just about all set. Volunteers always needed to help for a couple of hours, let Brenda know if you can make it. If you'd like a poster to share, drop us a line via Facebook or Twitter and we'll get one to you. We're lucky enough to have been offered FREE tours of the Winding House to offer to our visitors, plus lots of stalls with handmade gifts, cakes, plants, books, cakes, refreshments, raffle, cakes, tombola... and... did we mention cakes?! There'll be something for everyone so pop along and enjoy an afternoon out and maybe a walk around the Park as well. Here's hoping the weather isn't too 'British'!
